Even tho mold and mildew have different names, they are both the same when you really take a closer look at them.  They are both a form of mold.  They both can grow anywhere ifthe conditions are right and can also spread just as fast.  Once mold or mildew has a grasp on the area where it would like to live it will reproduce very quickly if something is not done about it in a timely manner.  A lot of people do not realize that certain types of mold can create myotoxins.  Myotoxins can cause extreme health issues to both humans and the family pets. If someone or a family pets has been around this type of mold for long periods of time can cause upper respiratory issues with the lungs, brain damage, and death.  These are some dangers of toxic mold.

How do you protect yourself from toxic mold?  First, you will have to make sure that your house is not a breeding ground for mold first.  Check the whole house and carpets for dampness that may be found under windows, closets, and bathroom areas.  Make sure to lift up the carpets and check to make sure there is no mold in the padding.  If you want to be extra positive you don’t have a mold problem then you can pay for a mold inspector to come and inspect your home or office to make sure you don’t have mold.  Eight times out of ten people that think they may have a mold problem then they probably do. 

Mold Removal

The best way to get rid of toxic mold is to prevent it from growing period.  Make sure you buy yourself some natural cleaning products that you can use anywhere in the house and it will be also safe for your pets and family.  And you also don’t want it to mess up your couches or carpets as well.  I always use any type of green cleaning products to kill my black mold because I can’t have my family breathing in the fumes of the chemicals.  It is one thing to breathe in the mold spores and it is just as bad to breath in the cleaners fumes.  All green cleaning products do not have any bleach or acids therefor you can use them around the house and your family and pets are safe.  Once you have the mold issue taken care of and as long as the areas in the house stay dry you can keep spraying these natural cleaning products around the house to keep the black mold from coming back.  This acts as a shield to prevent the mold from growing in your home and you having to do this all over again.  It is better to be safe than sorry in my opinion and staying green is the way to go.
