Happy Holidays!

This is a little bit different than a tech and gadget review.

I wanted to talk about a couple of general quick solutions to 2 different types of common household issues.

-The first general cleaning issue is wiping clean electronic surfaces like on those LCD TV screens and monitors. And also on portable electronic screens like on mp3/mp4, portable DVD screens, etc… I found a generic product simply called “Screen Cleaner”. (Not a glass cleaner.) I used it on all the above mentioned surfaces and found it to be a good/safe cleaning solution for most of those electronic surfaces. And it was cheap.

-And the second issue usually around the home is getting rid of tough stains typically found in/around showers and sinks. And that’s hard water stains, mildew stains and mold. I found a product called ZEP Mold and Mildew Remover. And it works! (It pretty much removed those stains…) I applied it directly onto the surfaces and waited overnight and rinsed. Some areas required repeat treatment, but all without having to scrub.
(Home Depot: ZEP $1.50/ a bottle)

I am sure a lot of you out there have a problem with black mold and I also know that you have been trying to find a way to get rid of black mold once and for all without having to pay for a mold remediation company to come out to the house to do it for you.  Once black mold starts to take over a home it is only a matter of time before you will start feeling the effects of toxic mold.  What are the best ways to prevent black mold?  You have to find out the places that it likes to grow.  Most places to start looking for black mold would be the closets, kitchen areas, patio, basement, and more importantly your bathrooms.

How does black mold grow so fast?  If the conditions are right black mold can spread extremely fast.  You need to eliminate the 3 main ingredients to keep black mold from spreading throughout your home.  Black mold loves to grow in damp, dark places that have a lot of high humidity levels.  The best way to keep black mold from ruining your home is to first find out if you have black mold growing anywhere in the house.  If you don’t know where the source of the black mold spores is coming from than it is going to be virtually impossible to kill mold. Be sure to check in your bathrooms, under the carpets by the door ways, and any areas that are mostly left dark.  Also check out your ceilings.  If you have brownish stains then you probably have a leak that needs to be fixed and anything up in your attick may have high counts of mold spores.  Once you clean all the areas that provide black mold with the food it needs to survive, you will have protected you and your family from the harsh effects of black mold.
