Carpet Mold As we all know, black mold can live anywhere and it can be a hazard to our health as well. Mold is a survivor. It can reproduce itself very fast if the growing conditions are correct. All mold needs to grow is a little bit of warmth, humidity and moisture. If these conditions are present in any parts of the home then you better keep an eye on it. Many people do not even know that they have mold and find out they do when it is too late. The reason why, is because mold could be growing in places that we never think of or never have a chance to check. Some of the more common places to have mold are the bathroom, garage, patio, and under the carpet. Carpet mold is especially hard to keep tabs on is because it usually lives under the carpet in the padding area. Sometimes there may be a leak in the window seal or there could be a seal under the floor board of the door area which is letting water in.
Black Mold
Mold can grow real fast so you better take warning. Check under your carpets and look to see if the padding is moist or if there is any water stains. You can also look and see if the little nails are rusted. If they are then you will need to find the source of the leak and fix it. If you have caught the problem in time you will most likely not have to replace the carpet and padding. You can get a natural mold cleaning products and spray the area to clean the mold and prevent it from growing there again. But, if the carpet and padding is so soaked then it will be safer to remove the padding and carpet and replace them. Sometimes the padding gets so wet that no matter what you do it will never dry up and will be a breeding ground for black mold.
