Faulty plumbing
Molds cannot colonize unless they find a source of water. If the plumbing works have not been working properly for last couple of days, be careful. Water that leaks from rainwater pipes and taps moistens the adjacent walls and develops the perfect condition for mold growth.
Sink overflow
You forgot to lock the sink tap and water overflowed. When you entered the kitchen it was just water, water everywhere ! While drying the kitchen and other places, you should also be careful about possibility mold growths. Make sure the entire place is dried properly. Use dehumidifier if possible. Otherwise you might have to waste a lot of energy to kill mold .
Leaky roof
Did you notice a leakage on the roof? It can damage the tiles and let water penetrate through during or after rain. Even the things inside the room can get wet when water drops on them from the roof. This may help the conditions of mold growth condense easily.
Wet papers or wet fabrics in the house
You did not get time to take care of those wet papers and wet fabrics and left them uncovered in the basement or at a corner. Mold spores will take no time to grow on these materials. Wet organic products are their preferred substance to colonize on. Soon you can smell the musty odor and can see the black spots on those substances. They are in!
If the mold infected substance is not much useful, throw it out of your house. Use organic mold cleaners to remove molds and mildews permanently.
