Mold Removal Tips For Mold In Your Boat

Mold On Boats

Did you know that there are over 6 million boat owners in the state of Florida alone?  The numbers are so true but I bet you didn’t think there were that many did you?  With the vast amount of boat owners in the United States there is an ever growing problem with black mold growth.  Why do you ask? The reason is because every boat has a potential to provide the perfect growing areas for black mold spores to have a fiesta with.  If you own a center console or a cuddy cabin you will have a great potential to have a mold problem on your boat.  It doesn’t even matter if you have a cuddy cabin, you can have black mold start to grow on the white padding of the boat such as the captains chair or even the side padding of the gun walls.  It doesn’t matter what the scenario is, you are going to need a strong mildew cleaner to get rid of your black mold problem.

Mold Killers

Why does black mold start to grow on my boat even after I clean it all the time after I go out fishing?  It is relatively simple.  Once you clean the boat most boat owners like to place a cover or canopy over the boat to protect the boat from getting wet or dirty until the next time the boat owners go out. By doing this you are protecting your hull form the harmful effects of the sun. What you don’t realize is that you are keeping humidity and moisture under the cover and providing a perfect area for black mold to grow.  Have you ever taken a look at your white padding on the sides of your boat and noticed that there is a bunch of greenish black spots on it?  This is a cause of black mold.  IN order to get rid of this you will need to get a mold killer that is not only strong enough to take this black mold off of the expensive material, but it has to be safe so it doesn’t hurt the material as well.  Since your boat is a huge investment, you might as well pay a little bit extra and get a natural mold removal kit to keep your investment looking clean and brand new.
