Green Cleaning Products

Starting off the new year like everyone else?  Trying to get everything all tightened up around the house?  If you are like me and want to keep the New Years resolution from breaking then listen to what I have to tell you about.  One of my goals was to fix up my patio that has been getting a large amount of mold growing on it.  I hate to say it but I have let it go for a long period of time and now it is pretty much a hazard for me.  When it rains it gets very slippery for me to even walk outside on it.  Not only is it slippery, but I did some research and found that every time I walk outside or even open the patio door the mold spores come into the house and will start to grow just as much inside as it is outside.  I also found out that mold can cause fatigue, stomach aches, and even breathing problems.  These are some of the reasons why I decided to purchase a  organic mold removal product before it gets even more out of hand than it already is.

Mold Removal

I found a place that sells mold removal kits on the internet.  I bought a gallon of their mold remover and a gallon of their mold blocker.  This stuff worked great!  The mold remover kit ran me about $100 but it was well worth it. I bought the gallons kit because I have a large area and needed a lot of this mold cleaning solution.  The do sell mold sprays too which are a lot cheaper.  I sprayed the whole area of my patio with the mold killer and I let it sit for about 20 minutes.  The directions said the longer it stays on the better it will work for you.  Then I took a sidewalk broom and gave the area a quick scrubbing and I could not believe I actually had white concrete under all that black mold.  I then preceeded to wash away the remaining mold that I scrubbed. I just used a garden hose and washed it right into the grass.  Don’t worry about killing the grass because this was an organic mold cleaning product and it had no bleach in it so the grass was safe.I then took the mold blocker and just sprayed the whole area of my patio.  The directions said this will protect the mold from coming back.  I couldn’t believe that this whole process was so quick and easy and it didn’t cost me my whole life savings.  I would say it took me maybe an hour and a half to clean my whole patio.  Now I can enjoy sitting in my patio and can actually enjoy it now with my fiance unlike before where we both never used the patio because it was just not a good situation.
