Most people do not have the same kind of luck as my neighbor and I am sure they are glad.  You see, he has a black mold problem.  The bad thing is it wasn’t even his fault.  The person who lives up stairs seemed to have a plumbing leak and all the water leaked from inside the walls and out into his closet.  What makes this even worse is that he was out of town for a month while all this mess was happening.  So, as you would know he comes back from his trip and he didn’t realize it at first but he was living in is home with toxic mold growing all over the place in his closet.  Two weekes went by and his bedroom started to smell real bad.  He couldn’t figure it out and all he did was spray some air freshner and that would only be a temporary fix.  After a month had gone by he started having these coughing attacks every morning when he woke up.  Finally he went to the doctor and they couldn’t figure it out.  here is how he found out that he had a black mold infestation growing in his closet.

Black Mold

It was by sure coincidence that he found out because he was getting ready to go to a nice night out on the town and when he went into his closet he saw that the roof and the walls had a thick black line going down to the floor of his closet.  Then this is where the fun begins.  His whole floor of his closet was still damp and all of his shoes and items that were on the floor had green hair all over it.  All of his items had black mold growing on them.  He had to literally throw away all of his items inside his closet.  He then was thinking about a way to kill mold all around his closet but it was too late.  There was no way to kill all that mold because it had just spread so much that he would be better off calling a mold remediation company.

Kill Mold

As of now he is in a lawsuit with the condo assosciation because they are claiming that they are not going to cover the cost of the mold remediation.  This is something that apparently happens all the time.  The bad part is this could of been avoided if he was not away on vacation but most of the time these scenarios happen because people do not realize that they have a black mold problem and when they find out then they are stuck with the repairs even though they had nothing to do with the original cause of the black mold.  Make sure you kill mold at first sight to save yourself a ton of money because if you do not take care of the black mold problem it will definetly take care of your bank account.
