A lot of environmentalists have claimed that they have never been happier than today. Undeniably enough, the efforts of “going green” has been very much visible. Nowadays, people have learned to think beyond the box. They’re not simply using non-destructive carpet cleaners or the like – yes, even Hollywood.
Yes, Hollywood just got green!
A recent study from the UCLA claimed that California’s film industry is the state’s second biggest pollutant next to the oil industry. Apparently, no amount of PR on public service announcements or of celebrities going green by driving hybrid cars can disregard the fact that TV and movie production remains a large gritty industrial operation which consume enormous amounts of power to run sophisticated cameras, supply bright lights and feed thousands of staff.
The good news is that, the concerned industry from Hollywood has been working very hard create a difference. They have hired environmental watchdogs and have managed to promote and encourage green initiatives as the “new trend.” As Ed Begley Jr. puts it, “Everyone needs to do everything they can.” And yes, we can see they they see to it to put their best foot forward all the time.
Practice what Mr. Begley said into your everyday activities. Even if it’s as simple as observing safe carpet cleaning tips, it is sure to go a long way.
